Every effort is made to provide an appointment time as soon as possible. Referring Practitioners can discuss urgent appointments directly with Dr Goodheart.
The reception staff aim to respond to your email requests before the end of the next working day. Dr Goodheart is not able to offer an email consultation service.
Fees & Payments
Fees for neurological consultation and electrophysiological studies are set between the Medicare rebate (which is refunded to the patient) and AMA schedules. The medical schedule of fees was established in 1983 and the Government’s yearly increase in fees has failed to keep pace with costs of medical practice, leaving the patient a larger gap to pay. Currently, private health funds are prevented from providing any assistance with consultation fees outside of the hospital setting.
Reception staff can provide specific details regarding fees prior to consultation.
Full payment for all consultations and tests is requested on the day.
Cash and eftpos are accepted.
Cancellations
Dr Goodheart runs a busy neurological practice. Please give at least 24 hours notice if your consultation is to be cancelled. This will allow the appointment time to be allocated to another patient.
Reception staff can provide specific details regarding fees prior to consultation.
Full payment for all consultations and tests is requested on the day.
What to bring to the appointment
Patients will need to bring a current referral letter (unless one has already been forwarded). It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that their current referral is up to date. Your referring Doctor will be unable to back date this document.
You should bring any relevant current or old xrays and a list of current medications.
Cash and eftpos are accepted.
